Migration is a complex social phenomenon that has been approached from different perspectives. Likewise, addictions as a social problem are a subject of interest for researchers, although most studies have focused on the identification of patterns of consumption and preventive actions from the individual. This analysis of migration and its relationship with psychosocial risks seeks to show that migrants, particularly young people, are involved in social situations of vulnerability such as school dropouts, violence, the impossibility of entering the labor market, and within the absence of preventive mechanisms, the possibility of access to the use and abuse of substances increases. All these problems are closely interrelated and it is necessary to consider them together in order to offer effective alternatives for prevention and attention to young people who consider migration as an alternative for their development of life.
