Abstract

The migrations of indigenous Oaxacans to other places in Mexico and the United States currently have different characteristics that develop from the specific needs that the labor markets demand, in the places of destination. There are several factors that influence the work and family environment of Mixtec migrants who have become increasingly dynamic, converting groups of Mixtec migrants into multilocal communities that seek to adapt every day to the ways of life and work. they are presented: terrible working conditions, lack of social protection and the absolute control of their work. The Mixtec employees, who are placed in various labor niches in the United States, deal with discriminatory treatment. In the following sections I will describe how a Mixtec labor community was formed from subjects that looked for economic support alternatives with national and international migration.
