Abstract

The objective of this work is the dense characterization of the comments of the users to texts in Mexican digital press about the Haitian migration in Mexico. Based on 277 comments from users in the news regarding Haitian migrants transiting and / or settling in Mexico, published in the newspaper El Universal (2016-2018), we analyze the characteristics of the medium (technological) and the situation (social factors) of such form of participation of Internet users. Additionally, the nature of the comments of users in the digital press in times of hegemony of social networks on the Internet is discussed.
