Migration, gender and football. Senses of participation of migrant women in the Bolivian Sports League

Abstract

On the following article we address, from an ethnographic approach, the participation of the women, players and spectators, of the Women’s Football Championship of the Bolivian Sports League that takes place on an outlying neighborhood of the city of Córdoba, Argentina. In addition to describing and analyzing the emergence of the league, we are interested in inquiring from an intersectional perspective, in which way the senses of that presence take particular shades of appropriation of the football activity in relation to the generational groups of the participants and their condition of migrants or daughters of Bolivian migrants.
