The Ordeal of Migrating in the Face of Human Trafficking on the Borders of Mexico

Abstract

As a global phenomenon, migration involves the complexity of capturing its dimensions, dynamics and behavior in the legal, political, economical, cultural and social frameworks, both in countries of origin, transit, destination and return. In the current world context, permeates an insecurity and criminal crisis, that emerges from the empowerment of radical groups that disrupt social peace. Hence the decision to leave the place of origin in search of a place to save life with access to better opportunities for human development, has derived as a consequence of the violent reality around the planet. Nevertheless, the confidence of arriving at a better place is betrayed with the presence and operation of groups and / or people that attempt against the integrity of migrants, in search of economic benefits, coercing or deceiving them to submit and exploit them. This highly profitable business is known as human trafficking.
