Abstract

The free international movement of the labour force of the migrant worker should be the logical answer to the changes in the job market of a world becoming more globalized and unequal. However, there is no theoretical harmonization within the field of migrations; and, in reality what does exist are every time more increasing political restrictions set by developed countries. The attempt made in the following pages is directed to understand another side of undocumented migration from an instrumental point view, but within the unavoidable perspective of economic development, through a hypothesis that goes in the opposite direction and points towards the notion of the underdevelopment of the migrant diasporas.
