Abstract
This article describes the case of defending the human right to identity of an adolescent with legal status of statelessness in Tapachula, Chiapas, a case made invisible due to the lack of adequate records of children and adolescents with this legal status. The methodological proposal presented is intended to be a guide for the defense of similar cases with a human rights perspective, therefore, it is based on context analysis as a necessary methodological tool to identify the multiplicity of factors (facts, behaviors or speeches) that influence In the case of human rights violations, the design and advocacy strategy used is also explained, the support of which made it possible to compensate for the violated human rights. The result of the defense was the recognition of the identity and, therefore, the nationality of the adolescent, and with it the activation of all the violated human rights.
