Abstract

This study aims to analyze and interpret the communicational narrative built from the forms of connection and interaction of information flows exchanged by members of groups created on the virtual social network Facebook by Brazilian emigrants in Canada. As a theoretical-methodological resource, it uses the concept of transnational migratory networks combined with the proposal of pragmatic analysis of the narrative as a theory of communicative action. Among the main results, we highlight the hybrid, fragmented, ephemeral and circumstantial character of the narratives, capable of incorporating the protagonism, voice and perspective of the narrator-subjects and their recipients in the building of meanings, besides to contributing to the visibility and the recording of the collective memory of the group involved.
