Abstract

This article is based on a theoretical and empirical reflection of the conjunctural phenomenon that arose in Honduras in 2018, which originated the migratory caravan. The objective is to analyze the mobility of four Honduran women under the studies of forced migration as an analytical category in the decision-making of travelers. On the other hand, the institutional violence suffered by women when traveling on the rail transport called «La Bestia» that runs through Mexico is identified. The methodology used in this research has a qualitative approach with an instrument of semi-structured interviews with four Honduran women who narrate the migratory journey and the violence suffered on the way to the United States, in which they share their life experiences on the freight train.
